If You Voted for Obama, Seek Urologic Care Elsewhere

quit working in hospitals 15 years ago when I was confronted by an arrogant administrator who boasted that every doctor in his hospital would be an employee reporting to him in 20 years and there was nothing I or any doctor could to do to change the the evolution of medical care.
Hospital administrators are minions of the devil incarnate. They consider doctors to be another tool to be manipulated for their ultimate benefit (increased profits for the hospital).
I feel bad for all the hospital based docs who must deal with satan in the form of hospital administrators.
Rick Scott, founder of HCA, which was fined $1.7 billion for medicare fraud, is now running for governor in Florida based upon his record as a successful businessman. "I am responsible for all my actions", but don't ask him to give anyone any of his ill gotten riches, because he earned his money the old fashion way- plunder the government in the form of medicare. Just what we all need and want in a conservative politician.
He's shown his true colors first as a hospital corporate crook and now a control freak politician pandering to tea party conservatives looking for change.
We docs live in dangerous times for ourselves and our patients.

2. Medical Staff Member Bill of Rights
Physicians on medical staffs have been subject to economic credentialing, meddling in their clinical practice and increased, unpaid work burden to help the hospital meet its financial objectives and comply with its mandates. Broward County asks for a Bill of Rights for the Medical Staff and the FMA HOD referred it to the Board of Governors who have assigned it to our Council for evaluation. We will work together with the Committee on Medical Staffs.
