Exemption Requirements - Section 501(c)(3) Organizations

Compare the hospitals near you:  Which deserve a tax-deduction?   Nearly all take public funds.  How would you like them to spend our tax money?  We are all taxpayers; we are all patients.  How much can hospitals serve the public interest?  They are run as a business first, and the non-profits make a 5% profit according to the Wall Street Journal:  How much should they spend on administration?  Which hospital administrators might not deserve a tax-deduction at all?  See the case of the administrator at Mercy Hospital in Hempstead, Long Island.  If a hospital is a 501c3 corporation with a tax-deduction, why not give doctors a tax-credit for charity care to solve the doctor-shortage?  If an administrator violates the public trust (e.g. the cases of Dr. Colantonio and Dr. Serrano), why should that hospital be given a tax-deduction?  Most administrators would never do what was allegedly done in those cases.
