Semmelweis Society Successful 1986 Lawsuit
Dr. Waite's Successful 1986 Lawsuit

Dr. Verner S. Waite incorporated The Semmelweis Society in 1986 after winning a defamation lawsuit (~$514,000) in which fellow surgeons, competitors at Saint Francis Hospital, Downey, California controlled the hospital's tissue committee and persuaded a nurse to lie under oath presumably to help them gain competitive advantage. Such collusive defamation is racketeering according to one interpretation of the Racketeer-Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act written to reign in the Mafia.
Dr. Waite died 17 Augut 2007; in his honor we continue his tradition of not charging for our testimony in support of doctors denied due process.
(Contract-consultations related to choosing a safe place to practice are conducted separately by private MD-JD's who set their own fees independent of Semmelweis Society International.)
Semmelweis Society International was incorporated in Dr. Waite's presence and with his approval, in Tennessee in 2003, by Ralph Bard M.D., J.D., FACS (RMBard@Charter.net),
Henry E. Butler III M.D., FACS (HButler@post.Harvard.edu), and
Charles William Hinnant M.D., J.D., DABU (NetDoc37@aol.com).
